SILVER MEDAL FOR ESPIRITU DE CHILE

The Espiritu de Chile Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2006 was honoured with a silver medal at the 2008 Sauvignon Forum in Mikulov, one of the most important wine competitions in the Czech Republic. The award further enhances the brand’s positioning as a premium Chilean wine range of excellent quality.

In the fourth year of the Sauvignon Forum 223 samples from 16 countries were submitted. They were evaluated by members of three professional evaluating committees chaired by Mr. Nigel Davies from New Zealand, Marin Berovich from Slovenia and Alexandre Wagner from France. The ceremonial announcement of the results took place on December, 12th 2008 in Brno.

The awarded Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2006 is a rich, dark-red Cabernet Sauvignon that captivates with its dense and seamlessly harmonious structure. The jury especially esteemed its aromas of blackcurrants, wild berries and elderberries which are harmoniously complemented with a delicate touch of vanilla. 12 months maturation in oak gave the wine an elegant note of wood, a distinctive character and a long-lasting finish. Espíritu de Chile Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon2006 originates from the Chilean Curico Valley.
